Cyclocross is fun !
The Halloween Cyclocross Crusade returned to Central Oregon, Oct. 26-28, for another freakish spectacle of sport and fun, featuring two days of bike racing in Bend with a « Cyclo du Soleil » theme. Costumed competitors of all ages and categories took their turns on the National Championship course at Deschutes Brewery in the Old Mill District. Participants took their costume creativity to a new level this year. Noteworthy contestants included the Headless Bikeman of Sleepy Hollow, Skeleton and Son, Mario and Luigi on a Tandem, the Voodoo Donut Fairies, the Jazzercise team, and the Bike Boxes — just to name a few !
